Friends!! Folks!!! After many, many years of writing and rewriting and revising and getting rejected and writing some more, I am so thrilled to tell you that my debut novel, LEAVE IT ON THE TRACK, will be on your bookshelves in [most likely] 2025!!!!!!!!!

I have so many things to say about this book and all the amazing people that helped me get it here. Too many things to fit in this newsletter—and I’m gonna get to write acknowledgements full of me crying about friendship that will be published in this book.
My relationship with roller derby has always been complicated. It is such an emotionally and physically intense sport that completely takes over your life. When you build your whole existence up around this thing—all your friendships and achievements and all the love and competitiveness in your heart—it’s devastating to lose it so suddenly, the way we did when we went into lockdown in 2020. I started drafting LEAVE IT ON THE TRACK out of desperately missing my community. It’s since bloomed into something bigger, and it probably will again by the time it’s published.
LEAVE IT ON THE TRACK is my love letter to roller derby and all the messy, passionate, beautiful people that make it possible. Thank you. And I can’t wait for you to read it.
clove moments
All the Clove moments for October are of her sleeping, because this is the time of year where Clove spends most of her time on the heated blanket or in a rare patch of Portland sun.

on repeat
what I read & loved this month
I learned that I can’t read my genre while I’m on submission with a book, so I’ve been reading either very fluffy sweet queer romcoms or very intense YA horror/thrillers lol. This month I listened to I FEED HER TO THE BEAST AND THE BEAST IS ME by Jamison Shea on audiobook and ohhhhhhh my GODDDDD it was so brilliant. I had to stop listening at night because it was keeping me awake. So, so good.
Thank you, as always, for sharing this journey with me. So much more to come.
I’ll see you in November!!
Congratulations! I can't wait to buy it!!
